| We had a great time on the ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki and back again - what a great way to travel! We had a cabin below decks (inexpensive but below the water line!) and we spent quite a lot of time wandering around on deck. It never really got too dark - the picture above is a "Baltic Sunset" but it sat for a brief few minutes until it rose again, it never really got dark. | |

We traveled on the Viking Line (what else?) to and from Finland. On the way there we were on the Mariella and on the way back the Gabriella, near twins except for some minor differences. |

Susan, on the top deck of the ferry to Finland. It was cool with a brisk wind, even though we were not traveling that fast. The channels between the islands were narrow, it almost seemed impossible that such a big boat could make it through! |

Islands in the Stockholm Skärgård (archipelago) - the islands were so green and beautiful it was almost painful to the eyes! Many of them had small cabins and a sailboat at anchor - there are thousands of islands in the Stockholm Skärgård. |
