CASPER COLLEGE STUDENT AGREEMENT FOR WORLD WIDE WEB HOMEPAGE ACCOUNTS

I, the undersigned,_____________________, agree to the following conditions regarding my WWW Homepage account at Casper College.

I will use my WWW Homepage account in a manner consistent with local, state, and federal laws.

I am responsible for any activity on my WWW Homepage; therefore, I will not share my account with other people or allow my account to be used by other people.

Quotas on the server's disk space usage have been described to me. If I continually use more than my allotted disk space, my files wiII be deleted by the system administrator and I could lose my WWW Homepage account as a result.

I understand that my WWW Homepage account at Casper College exists for the duration of term for which I am a registered student at least half-time. I understand that my request for a WWW Homepage account may be refused if I fail to successfully complete the one (1) credit computer orientation course.

I understand that my request for a WWW Homepage account may be denied if there is inadequate capacity available. I understand that my request for a WWW Homepage account may be denied if I am currently under disciplinary sanction for abuse of computer software, network or other College facilities or equipment as outlined in the Casper College Student Conduct and Judicial Code.

I understand that specific student's rights and responsibilities are in the Casper College Student Conduct and Judicial Code, and that I will be responsible if my behavior or my account violates the Casper College Student Conduct and Judicial Code.

I understand that my WWW Homepage account is for educational purposes only. Commercial use is prohibited. I am aware that information I place in my WWW Homepage is in the public domain and can be copied by users of the WWW. Data or information I place in my WWW Homepage wiII not be tampered with by Casper College unless permission is given by the owner, EXCEPT during administration of the facilities by Academic Computing, as demanded by due process of law, or as determined to be in the best interests of Casper College. I understand that information placed on any Casper College Web Server, as well as, any subsequent links from my WWW Homepage must be consistent with Casper College's Mission Statement and current local, state, and federal laws. I understand that any form of deception, any use of abusive language, and any offensive material or content will not be permitted on any Casper College web pages, including my use of HyperText links to other WWW sites. Casper College will not provide a hypertext link from its website to any Homepage not housed on a Casper College web server that contains or links to content not consistent with Casper College's Mission Statement.

I understand that Academic Computing may conduct an inquiry into any complaint or indication of misuse of the facilities it operates. This inquiry is considered administration of the facilities, During an inquiry, only authorized Academic Computing personnel and other authorized Casper College personnel and, as appropriate, law enforcement personnel, may review data, programs, computer activity traces, or backup information which are pertinent to the inquiry. During an inquiry of improper use, ANY person implicated may be denied access to the facilities.

I understand that the referenced Casper College regulations which are applicable to misuse of the facilities cover misconduct, sanctions, disciplinary actions, and dismissal. Any hearing, appeal, or disciplinary action which results from misuse of the facilities will be conducted according to these regulations. In addition to the administrative actions provided by the Casper College regulations, any suspected violation of a state of federal law may be referred to the appropriate law enforcement agencies for independent investigation.
