How to Change Your Novell Password, and
Synchronizing your NetWare and Windows passwords

On Campus from Command Prompt

  1. Click "Start" then "All Programs" then "Accessories"
  2. Select "Command Prompt" and a black DOS window should open
  3. At the command prompt, type "setpass" and press <Enter>
  4. When prompted, enter your old (current) password, and then the new
  5. When finished, close the "DOS" window, and you're done.

On Campus using the Netware Client

  1. Log in to the network if you are not already logged in.
  2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del.
  3. Click Change Password.
  4. Enter your current password in the Old Password box.
  5. Enter the new password in the New Password and Confirm New Password boxes.
  6. Click OK.

On or Off Campus

  1. Open the Casper College Home Page at http://www.caspercollege.edu/
  2. Click on: Faculty and Staff -> Computing Services -> CC Virtual Office
  3. Login to Virtual Office
  4. Click on the "Lock" icon at the top and fill-in the required fields
  5. Click "Logout" when finished

Synchronizing your NetWare and Windows passwords when you start your workstation and log in.

  1. Start your workstation.
  2. When prompted, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to log in.
  3. Enter your NetWare username and password.
  4. (Conditional) If necessary, change other login parameters, such as tree, context, server, etc.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Enter your workstation username and password.
  7. Check the check box labeled Change Your Windows NT Password to Match Your NetWare Password after a Successful Login
  8. Click OK.
