So if you have a list of email addresses and the people are not in the GroupWise system or in your Contacts then you'll need to maintain that list outside of GroupWise in a file such as a spreadsheet or text. To send a message to this list you'll need to cut the email addresses and paste them into the BC field of the email message you're composing.
Example: You've compiled a list of email addresses of people that had attended a
lecture you gave and you've volunteered to email them the Power Point presentation you used.
or
You hold a position on a local club and need to email the club members occasionally
with information.
In either case, you don't want to create a Contact for any of these people in your GroupWise Address Book.
Problem: You cannot create a Group or distribution list in GroupWise if the members
are not within your contacts.
Solution: You can maintain a list of email addresses outside of GroupWise
in a text file or even a spreadsheet and send a message to the users in the list
even though they're not in your GroupWise Contacts. Here's how:
