GroupWise 7.0 Overview
Used with permission of Okemos Public Schools
GroupWise combines your messages, schedule, and calendar requirements
into one program. From the GroupWise main window you can access and read
your
Email,
schedule Appointments and Tasks,
view your Calendar, access the Address Book, print and much more.

GroupWise Menu Bar

Main Toolbar--Contains the display settings, buttons (icons)
that enable you to quickly perform common tasks, such as creating a New Mail
or
opening
the Address Book.

Folder List pane--Includes folders to help you organize the
items you
send and receive. You can create new folders to group items and
set a rule to send email to a specific folder. If this pane is not visible when
you open GW, click View, Folder List or
in
the upper right-hand corner.

Item List pane--Displays the contents of the selected folder
from the
Folder List pane. TIP: Click From and email
will be grouped and sorted alphabetically
by sender. Click From again to undo. Click Subject to
sort the column alphabetically.
Click Subject again to undo. Click Date to
change ascending
to descending or vice versa.
ADDING COLUMNS IN ITEM LIST PANE
Right click on the grey From | Subject | Date column header and
select MORE COLUMNS.
In the Select Columns dialog box, you can ADD / REMOVE
columns and position them UP or DOWN.

MAILBOX SIZE
The percentage
of your mailbox being used and the total number of items in your
Mailbox (as well as
Sent Items
folder) is displayed in the lower portion of the GroupWise main window.
To
view the largest items in your Mailbox, Sent Items folder, etc, click
Tools,
Check
Mailbox
Size
or click
the
Mailbox
Size:
% button. You can then delete the larger items.
Empty Trash after
you
are
done
and
the
Mailbox Size % will drop. TIP: To delete consecutive
emails, click the first email, hold the Shift key and click the last
email (all
emails in between
will be selected), click the Trash Can (Delete) icon ,
or EDIT, DELETE or right click DELETE or DELETE and EMPTY. To delete
intermittent
emails, click the
first email,
hold
the Ctrl key and
click
on each email
you want
to
delete; click , or EDIT,
DELETE or right click DELETE or DELETE and EMPTY. To empty
your Trash, click on the Trash Can in your Folder List and
click the Empty Trash icon .
